CM+ developed new planning controls to guide the growth and renewal of Kingsford and Kensington town centres, on Anzac Parade.
The outcomes of the study have informed changes to the Randwick LEP 2012 and DCP 2013.
The Town Centres include multiple major destinations including NIDA, UNSW and Randwick Racecourse and the area is undergoing rapid growth and pressure for increased density, due to the introduction of the Light Rail along Anzac Parade. The precinct is a lively, vibrant, multicultural and connected neighbourhood, with many opportunities to expand as a creative and innovative hub, around well designed buildings and improved public spaces.
The new planning controls will guide development and manage this growth for the benefit of the communities that will live, work, study, eat, shop and socialise in Kensington and Kingsford now and into the future.
