Design for a new district in Saigon South in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This waterfront site will support a mix of residential, social and educational uses to provide a vibrant new community within this growing area. The plan is organised around a curving water feature that provides for both internal organisation and external orientation as an organic extension of the surrounding canal system into the site. Key elements include a marina, island park, lake, waterfront green spaces, community facilities and public primary and secondary schools. A variety of residential dwelling types are proposed including free standing luxury villas, affordable housing, terrace housing and high rise towers. The plan has been designed to allow for flexible staging in response to market conditions and to allow multiple developers to participate in the realisation of the project.
