CM+ was the lead designer for the development feasibility and master plan study for this TOD precinct adjacent to Rhodes Railway Station. This mixed-use precinct will link the railway station to the foreshore and complete Council’s vision for a vibrant village centre at the heart of the Rhodes peninsula. Issues addressed included parcel assembly, solar amenity, public domain character, financial feasibility and built form parameters.
The introduction of new laneways through the precinct provides a fine grained framework to support activity, legibility and identity generation for the new centre. The plan has been translated into a series of support documents for Council to guide the development process.
