The NorthConnex Maintenance Facilities are located within the Motorway Operations Complex at the southern end of NorthConnex, on Pennant Hills Road, and include a workshop (550m2), maintenance contractor offices, staff facilities, service yard (2000m2), tools and equipment store and a secure storage area.
The facilities are directly accessed via a service road adjacent to the motorway, ensuring a high level of site security, which has been integral in the siting and architectural design of these Facilities. The site’s feature noise walls protect adjacent residential development from noise and activity, as the complex is in continuous operation. The finishes applied to buildings including FC panels, glass walls and aluminium screens allowing an attractive architectural expression to functional buildings at an appropriate scale to passing motorway traffic.
