This article appeared in The Guardian this week announcing a joint federal and NSW State Government $7bn pledge for the North – South link in Sydney’s rail network. This route was originally identified by CM+ in its 2012 response to the NSW long term transport master plan.
The new route will connect Western Sydney Airport to the existing Sydney Trains Network and is part of the newly agreed Western Sydney City Deal; a 20 year agreement between the three levels of government to deliver a once-in-a-generation transformation of Sydney’s outer west – creating the ‘Western Parkland City’.
