Winner of an Australian Engineering Excellence Award (Newcastle Division) 2016
Richard Nugent and Kash Rangan from CM+ attended the awards presentation in Newcastle on Friday, 16 September 2016. They were the project urban designers and architects supported by Context Landscape Design, in delivering the project with Arcadis/Lend Lease for NSW Roads and Maritime.
The project has delivered improved road safety, travel efficiency, access, environment, tourism and future development opportunities for the Byron Bay region.
The judges saw this project as ‘inspiring, encouraging engineers to achieve world’s best practice. The outcome highlights to the broader community the invaluable contribution engineers make to the economy, community and the environment’.
