In association with BG&E and Australian Infrastructure Solutions, CM+ are the designers of the proposed Sydney Metro West Link (SMWL), a new, fast metro conceived in two stages from Central to Badgerys Creek with a future extension to La Perouse. The project incorporates world’s best practice for metro systems and connects along its 52 kilometre route the major development ‘hot spots’ in the Sydney basin drawing these new centres into a coherent spine that is aligned with the strategic government objectives of urban consolidation, reinforcement of Sydney’s global arc, development of Parramatta as Sydney’s second CBD and supporting the realisation of Badgerys Creek Airport. It also leverages other initiatives such as the urban transformation of Parramatta Road and achievement of a more sustainable future for Sydney.
