CM+ have provided an architectural concept for Wentworth Point Rowing Club. Ideally located on the sheltered western shore of Homebush Bay, the Club is intended to serve school groups and the local community.

The Rowing Club will take a contemporary form and frame vistas from Burroway Road and the Promenade. The Rowing Club will be a unique attraction to Homebush Bay and will mark the maritime identity of the Wentworth Point Peninsula.

As an extension to their work on the Wentworth Point UAP, CM+ have also submitted a DA for a new Dry Boat Storage and Rowing Club and are currently preparing a master plan DA for the surrounding Burroway Precinct, on the sheltered western shore of Homebush Bay.

The building provides public and private boating storage and launch facilities, a gym and club room as well as a restaurant, bar and function room over three levels. The architecture is contemporary with a maritime expression and its massing and planning have carefully considered the site’s waterfront context and to frame vistas from adjacent streets. The Boathouse delivers a new community venue of high social interaction, a key attraction on the
Wentworth Point promenade and a vital contributor to community placemaking. It serves the rowing industry’s demand for new facilities, meets the local community’s needs for safe water access and provides the local community with a unique opportunity for over the water dining.
