Conybeare Morrison International in conjunction with UrbanGrowth NSW, Cox Architecture, Oculus, AECOM, Elton Consulting, GHD, HillPDA, Jacobs, Kinesis and SJB are pleased to announce that Parramatta Road Corridor Urban Transformation Strategy has received national recognition, winning two awards at the 2018 PIA National Awards for Planning Excellence on 9 May, 2018.

2018 Award Winner – The Hard Won Victory

National Judges’ Citation, ‘The planning of Parramatta Road Corridor has long been in the “too hard” basket for government agencies. This project tackled fragmentation of governance land-use due to the number of local councils involved whose financial resources were limited… Furthermore, the Urban Transformation Strategy incorporates sound practice by only rezoning land if necessary infrastructure is in place or will be provided.’

‘The judging panel commends the applicant for its whole-of-government approach to the strategy and its innovative stakeholder engagement model that is now being replicated across government in NSW.’
